Wednesday April 16Read: John 13:21-32Reflect: Just as with Jesus and his disciples, unseen intentions can lie beneath ordinary actions. We might misjudge why someone does something, similar to the disciples' confusion about Judas's departure. Even a seemingly small act, like accepting a piece of bread, can mark a significant turning point, reminding us that our choices carry weight. The glorification of Jesus, even in the face of betrayal, suggests that redemption can emerge from difficult circumstances. Consider: How often do we consider the hidden motivations behind the actions of those around us?Pray: Creator God, we remember the Last Supper described in John, we acknowledge the hidden betrayal that lay beneath the surface. May we be ever aware that our own choices hold significance, capable of leading us towards or away from your will, as seen in Judas's act. Even in moments of darkness and betrayal, remind us of the promise of glorification and redemption through Jesus.
